“He is Risen, He’s Alive” is an album that musically radiates the joy of our salvation. Rhythms, arrangements and lyrics that get under your skin.
Jesus rose from death, he lives! Every year at Easter we celebrate our Savior, who cleared the way for us to the Father through his death and resurrection.
We begin on Palm Sunday by commemorating Jesus‘ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
On Maundy Thursday, we look back to the Last Supper that Jesus ate with his disciples. There he brought us the remembrance of his broken body and his shed blood, symbolized by bread and wine.
On Good Friday, after being severely maltreated, he made his way to the cross, from Pilate’s palace up the hill to Golgotha, his place of crucifixion. Then they nailed him to the cross. There, hanging at the wood, he lived for several more hours. During this time, he forgave his tormentors: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do!” Finally, he died there at the cross, bearing all our sins for which we should have been punished. “It is finished,” he exclaimed and died.
A few hours later, he was laid in the tomb. His disciples thought it was all over now. But early in the morning on the third day, the three women went to the tomb to anoint him. But instead of Jesus‘ body, they found … nothing! The tomb was empty and angels announced the good news to them.
Jesus is risen and he is alive. He has thus cleared the way for us directly to the Father. Through him we are free and have been given the right to be with God forever.
The album “He is Risen, He’s Alive” tells us the most important stages of this journey of redemption in seven powerful songs. From Jesus‘ entry into Jerusalem to his resurrection and our redemption.
Each song echoes with the joy that we have been set free forever through Him. Let us remember musically that He is risen and alive!
